Mr. Glenn Van Yarborough, age 53, of 19109 Andrews Drive, Ettrick, Va., departed this life early Saturday morning, May 11, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va.

Glenn was born January 2, 1960 in Petersburg, Va., to the late George Yarborough II and Sylvia Yarborough Robinson. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Moses (Papa) and Annie Bell (Big Ma) White.

He grew up in Ettrick, Va. and graduated from Matoaca High School Class of 1979. He joined the Air Force and served five years. He then received his CDL license and drove tractor trailers for several companies for over 20 years. In 2006, Glenn continued his education and received his certification in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration.

Glenn accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age of 7 and became a member of First Baptist Church, 236 Harrison Street, Petersburg, Va.and he served as a junior Deacon. As a little boy he was member of the boy scouts. He loved working with hands. At home you could find Glenn outside under the shed rain, sunshine, sleet or snow tinkling with his tools building a table, chair, or trying to come up with a new invention.

Left behind to cherish is memory is a devoted fiancé of 26 years, Barbara Fraierson of Richmond, Va.; a son, Brandell Wyatt of Petersburg, Va.; stepfather, Gordon Robinson of Refugio, Tx.; two brothers, George III Yarborough of Orlando, Fl., and Marc Yarborough of Petersburg, Va.; two sisters, Felecia Thorpe of Matoaca, Va., and Sonya Robinson of Ettrick, Va.; three nieces, Tamika Uzzle (Alefunzo), Tia Thorpe, and Khalia Rivers; two nephews Chase Robinson and Aamir Yarborough; three great nieces, Briona Uzzle, Kira Uzzle, and Ivy Uzzle; close friends throughout the years, Irving Ellis, Darrell Harris, and Susan Bush all from Ettrick, Va., and a host of loving cousins and many friends.
