MGySgt Don Ray Miller, 43, of Malvern, passed away, Friday, August 23rd, 2013 at home following a long illness.
Don was born in Dover, OH on August 8, 1970, a son of Beverly J (Manse) Cole and the late Robert L Miller.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Miller served over 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed in support of Operations in Somalia and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of American Legion Valley Post 375.
Don is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathleen Elizabeth (Barrett) Miller; his mother, Beverly J (Manse) Cole; four sons Zachary R Miller, of Malvern; Devin R Miller, of Jacksonville, NC; Cole R Miller, of Malvern; Hayden R Miller, of Queens, NY; grandchildren Makayla Philabaum and Wesley Browning; sister, Kelly S (Don) Leggett, of Lancaster, OH; and brother, Steven S Miller, of New Philadelphia.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH. Calling hours will be held Monday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, Malvern, Ohio. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Ohio.
