I knew Pat for 20 years. We always chatted about pool, life, finances, and family. I will miss Pat's smile and hello at the tournaments and pool halls around Portland. God bless him.

I remember playing Pat at Pub 181 and I was afraid to play this man... but he told me that I'm not playing him I'm playing the table; which in fact made perfect sense ... so I turned my head around and won Pat and one point during the tournament.... So to say " Thank You for your Statement and Confidence with my Game... I'll miss you dearly and with all the times we spoke during your time here. W/ Love and full of smiles Cathy Duenas

Dearest Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Pat was sick, so I was shocked when I saw his picture in the Oregonian late this afternoon when I returned from the beach. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Love, Bonny McInroy

Hey Big Sister...... It is with great sorrow to be writing this entry. Pat will be missed by everyone who knew him. And even those that may not have actually known him but were touched/helped in some way throughout his career as a Portland Fire Fighter. Even those spectators at some of the competions, whether it was a pool tournament or a handball tournament will still possess memories of his obvious skill level and fierce competiveness. He was always willing to share knowledge to those who would seek it. Pat took me under his wing at a very young age helped guide me through many of life's challenges. He was my mentor in many aspects of early life and the lessons have been carried on for decades. He went out of his way to help me in the transition from boy-hood to man-hood. He taught some life skills in almost every area of my life. Everything from mechanics, firearms, job choices, finances, social interactions, home improvement/maintenance, .... The list goes on forever... He will always be remembered in our hearts and minds. And when that happens, he will always be with us.
Love and Miss You, Little Brother

Mary, Jan, and Family,
Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Fill your hearts with the wonderful memories of your life with him. We wish we were there to celebrate his life with you. I will always cherish his humor, his pool lessons, and am honored to have walked in his slippers. Jim was so impressed watching Pat cook salmon for James and Jan's wedding reception! He also enjoyed the knowledge and wisdom Pat shared as they drank "drip" coffee together!
In loving memory of a wonderful man,
Jim and Michelle Sanders
