Jane Giesen
Jane Giesen, 71, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Thursday, November 07, 2013 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Jane was born in Honesdale, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Lindsay) Southerton. Jane and her husband John Giesen celebrated 54 years of marriage last November 19. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, and also attended Lenox Hill School of Nursing. She was a nurse for the Care Center of Lopatcong for over 20 years, before retiring in 2003. Jane was a member of the Christian Foundation for children and adults, where she sponsored a child in South America. Survivors: In addition to her husband John, Jane is survived by her son Robert Giesen of Easton; daughters Kim Lutz and husband Joseph of Williams Twp., Jennifer Kliebert of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren Andrew and Kaitlyn. She is preceded in death by a sister Anne Hessling. Services: Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janes memory may be made to Breast Cancer Society, 3934 Miller Road, Edgemont, PA 19073. I have such fond memories of Jane- from going to the Yankee game with her and getting there by subway to her always scoring her favorite liver & onions at Lopat. You are missed!
