( Boots )
On March 13, 1924 in Murray, Utah a beautiful baby girl was sent to Stephan and Maria Domenica Vicchrilli. She was the seventh born of nine children to this loving Italian family. A spirit full of life and a caring heart. A care giver to so many and a heart that would spread love for 89 years and yet be extinguished in the blink of an eye on December 1, 2013. Boots graduated from Murray High and married CSM Bryant E. Stauffer (Puff) on August 11, 1944. They had 6 children. Mary (Neal) Eatchel, Julie (Ronald) Millard, Richard (Smokey)(Kris) Stauffer, Steve (Susan) Stauffer, Debra Jane (Our Special Angel), Lorie (Pat) Henderson. The pride of her life was her family, and her 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren were at the very top of her list.
Mom filled our home with love and her incredible cooking abilities. Italian food that most kings would pay a ransom for was our Hamburger Helper! Spoiled oh yea! From homemade cheeses to sauce aromas coming from a couple of days cooking on the stove. Mom's cooking was something special and she was so proud to able to pass it down to all her daughters. (Mom didn't have daughters and sons-in-laws, just sons and daughters) Mom spent a large portion of her life for the benefit of others. This was her mission and passion in life to serve family, neighbors or anyone in need without asking anything in return. As a mother of a Downs Syndrome child in the 50's, Mom was active in Special Olympics and promoted Girl Scouting and work activities for these Special Angels. Our sister Debbie is among Utah's Hall of Fame Special Olympians because of her tireless efforts.
Mom is survived by 5 of her children; brother, Samuel (Vi) Vicchrilli; sister, Julie Markham; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Vicchrilli. Preceded in death by her Mother and Father; brothers and sisters; husband; daughter, Debra Jane; and great-grandson, Logan Heath.
A Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Holladay, Utah, with a viewing prior from 10-10:45 a.m. Friends may also call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at St. Vincent's with a rosary at 8 p.m. Luncheon will follow the Mass. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m.

Missing you today. You were my second Mom, and was there always for some difficult times in my life. You taught me how to make some of those delicious Italian foods, and I claim to be your token Italian. Miss you . . . give my Mom, Dad and big brother a hug for me. Love you.

Dear family (you all know that you always have made us feel like a part of your family),
When Kris called to tell us about Boots, we were devastated. It never occurred to us that she would be gone. The angels are singing (including those two wonderful angels, Puff and Big Deb) while we hurt so deeply at her passing. We have never known a more loving or caring woman than Boots. Events like this make it hard to be away from home. We love and miss you all. You are in our prayers.
Love,
Sandy and Lenny

Dear Family,
Strangely enough I cooked two of your mom's great recipes just this week. Cheese bread and Pizzel's. I have done these same recipes for years and years. So, every December I remember your mom in a very special way.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you celebrate her life tomorrow at her funeral mass. In Sympathy, Val Petersen.

Dear Stauffer Family,
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Your Mother was such a wonderful and kind person. She always made a point to come out and say Hi when we were there mowing her lawn. She was such a pleasure to talk to and we will miss her.

Words cannot express the deep sadness or the joy I feel at this moment. Sadness because I will miss her smiling face and joy at the times I had with her. I only wish I could be there to comfort all of you and to be comforted by you. The knowledge that she is with loved ones and will still look down on all of us with love and pride in all of her posterity, will bring great comfort to all those who knew and loved her. Till we meet again, Aunt Boots.

Mary, Julie, Smokey, Steven and Lori,
My heart has been heavy ever since hearing of your mom's passing. It just doesn't seem real. She was always there for me, and so sweet, caring & concerned. Whenever we needed help with my own mom, she was there.
She was always so positive, and oh how she loved all of you, and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her eyes would sparkle when talking about any of you. She was a very proud mom.
She has been like a second mom to me, and someone I could talk to when in need.
Since we all grew up together, I remember how much fun it was to eat there because her cooking was fabulous.
I will miss her genuine sweetness and concern for others. I know she is with "Little Bear" and your Dad and happy as a lark; even though there will be a big void in all of your lives. I will miss her as well, but I will never forget her. Your entire family has been very special to me. Thanks for sharing her with me.

To the Stauffer Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother/grandmother - a special lady with a heart of gold. As I write this with tears in my eyes - I look up and know that she and Debbie are holding hands again and enjoying the heavens. This brings a smile to my face just thinking of this. Mary was so sweet, she always had a sparkle in her eye. May the comfort of family and friends help you through all the bumps you will come across in the months ahead. Hopefully there will be family gatherings where you will all sit around in a circle and let your wonderful voices sing up to the Heavens. Hugs to all of you.
