Vincent Anthony DeMita, age 80, passed away at the West Roxbury Veteran's Hospital on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. He was the husband of the late Joan (Kennedy) DeMita and is survived by his 3 children, Stephen DeMita of Raynham, James DeMita of Marshall, N.C. and Linda Palladino of Leominster and his grandchildren, Allison Woytowich of Burlington, Vt., Lindsey St. Jean of Falmouth, Stephen DeMita Jr. of Holbrook, Joseph DeMita of Bridgewater, Katelyn Palladino of Leominster, Jessica DeMita of Taunton, Meridith St. Jean of Burlington, Vt. and Andrew Palladino of Leominster. Vincent also leaves his brother, Edward DeMita of Weymouth and 4 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter, Patricia St. Jean, his brother Robert DeMita and his sister Frances McClellan. Vincent was born in Boston, Grew up in Dorchester and moved to Randolph in 1960 to raise his children before moving to Leominster in 1998. He was a truck driver and member of Teamster Local 25, driving for Purity Supreme for 20 years and served his country in the Army during the Korean War. The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), So. Weymouth, on Friday Jan. 31, at 8 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette Church, 1026 North Main St. in Randolph at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. i am sorry to miss the services. I am away in florida. Uncle Vinnie was a kind and sweet man. I have many memories of him and Joan on my parents back porch laughing and joking. Wonderful memories. i am so sorry for your loss.

Im so sorry Vinny passed, I just heard about his passing Thursday night.
Vin and Joan were a big part of my life growing up and i miss those days. Vinny was a wonderful man and will be missed.
I wish I had stayed in touch over the past years.
