Not sure what to say?

We were so sorry to hear about your loss. We feel privileged to have known John for the short time that we did. It was long enough to know that he was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was the kind of person we should all aspire to be.
Sincerely,
The Morris Family

John's family,

Condolences.

I knew John form politics and the A.O.H. Once, as a prank, I was suggesting to others at the time he was appointed councilor -at- large that he was going to run for mayor. Shortly thereafter, I went into the A.O.H. when he was bartending. He looked up. He yelled loudly:" Don't you dare". I laughed. He laughed. That was the end of it. He will be missed.

To the Butler family,
My deepest condolences to you all. For many, many years, John and I worked alongside each other. He was hard working, thorough, conscientious, dependable and smart. He was extremely well liked by all who came in contact with him. An exceptional human being. I feel fortunate to have known him and wish he could have enjoyed a much longer retirement with the family he loved.

Hubert (Hue) Holley

To the Butler family my condolences on the loss of your Dad. John and I served together the last few years on the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. James. He was a wonderful man to work with and was a man of true faith. He served on the city council with my dad George McCabe and they were good friends and I always remember my Dad speaking very well of "Jackie" Butler. May he rest in peace.

Dear Butler Family,
My thoughts have been with you all since learning of Uncle John's passing. He is fresh in my mind as a man always smiling, always pleasant, and a joy to be with. Keep your memories of him close to heart, so that your grief may be assuaged by his love for you all. My wish for you is peace, Love, your cousin Susan

Sean, Peter, and Christopher,
I have such fond memories growing up on Butler St. Your dad's smile always greeted me when I returned home to visit my mother. He was a great friend and neighbor to my mom,and was always there to lend a helping hand. His kindness and generous heart will stay with me forever.
May his memory be eternal.
