ODESSA Jackie "Jack" Wayne Maynard, 71, of Odessa, TX, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Madison Medical Resort. Mr. Maynard was born March 27, 1943, in Odessa, Texas, to Linton and Nila Maynard.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Linton and Nila Maynard; wife, Ruth Ann Boyd Maynard; son, Jeffrey Warren Maynard; daughter, Pamela Eileen Maynard; and brothers, Charles and C.R. Maynard.
Mr. Maynard was survived by his sons, Jackie Wayne (Christie) Maynard of Navasota, TX, John William Maynard of Midland, TX, Jason Wade Maynard of Mertzon, TX, and Justin Ward Maynard of Odessa, TX; daughter, Stacy Lynn (David) Ellis of Odessa, TX; brother, Kenneth Maynard of Marble Falls, TX; sisters, Joyce Seymour and Linda Harris, both of Boise, ID; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Jack served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a Police Officer for Odessa Police Department from 1968-1971. He later retired as a Warehouse Supervisor from Huntsman Corp.
The Maynard family request donations for Northside Senior Center or Hospice in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 9am-5pm.
Service will be held at 10am Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery – Peaceful Gardens Section.
Arrangements entrusted to Odessa Funeral Home.

Mr Maynard was quite the guy looks like, I didn't know him personally, but his son works for us and is a good man Justin Maynard. Our boss Ross Standefer knew him. Our condolences to the family.
