Ripley, Elnora
Elnora Mae Ripley, 89, died Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Care Partners Assisted Living Center in Medford.
Elnora was born May 10, 2015 in Westboro, WI to Raymond and Aprilla (Charvillia) Bundick. She married Robert A. Zanowski, in Milwaukee, WI in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by one son: Dennis (Patricia) Zanowski of Ballwin, MO, 3 Grandchildren: Tiffanie Zanowski of Appelton, WI, Andrew Zanowski of Kirkwood, MO, Allison Zanowski of St. Louis, MO, Sisters: June Spieles and Mary (Lawrence) Salzman, both of Medford, WI.
She is also preceded in death by her Parents, Sister: Edith Archibald, Brothers: William, Edward, Orie, Vernon Bundick, Infant Brother Raymond Bundick and an infant Sister Baby Bundick.
Elnora was employed as an insurance agent by The Catholic Knights, Zanowski & Associates, and also worked for Green Thumb in Taylor County. She was the first elected woman board member of the Catholic Knights. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf, sewing, puzzles and completing different crafts. She was also a veracious reader and enjoyed writing her own poetry. She traveled the world extensively. She also volunteered for the Special Olympics.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, The Women's Club of Holy Rosary, and The Red Hat Society.
Services for Elnora will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Entombment will take place at 11:00 AM, at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Oshkosh, on Monday, January 26, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Elnora may be made to the American Cancer Society.
