Perry T. Koch, 54 of Easton, PA. died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Easton Hospital. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the beloved son of Priscilla (Siekonic) and Ronald Koch. He grew up in Northampton, PA and did vocational training through Colonial Northampton Intermediate Unit 20. He attended Concepts, and worked in the community through the Lehigh University Community Choices Program. He was a charter member of the former Faith and Light community in Allentown. Perry loved sporting activities and for many years was an active participant in Bethlehem Area Special Olympics, earning medals in track, cross country skiing, basketball and bowling, In 1981, Easton Express named him Top Athlete of Special Olympics. For over two decades he was a member of the Monday afternoon Bowling League at Town and Country Lanes in Bethlehem. He was a lifelong Phillies, Eagles, Penn State, and Northampton Konkrete Kids fan. Perry is survived by his loving family: Parents, Brother, Ronald Jay Koch and his wife Jill; Sister Heidi A. Koch and husband Richard Karasiewicz, all of Northampton; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, his many loving and supportive companions, and his compassionate extended family of caregivers at PRAXIS in Easton. Perry was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John and Arlene Koch, maternal grandparents Joseph & Helen Siekonic, Uncles John and Bob, and great nephew Aiden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday January 24, 2015 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 22nd & Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. With calling hours 6-8pm Friday January 23, 2015 and Saturday January 24, 2015 9-10am with prayers at 10am, both at the Schisler Funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067. Interment will follow in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Cherryville Rd.,Northampton, PA. Contributions in Perry's memory may be made to Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, or Bethlehem Area Special Olympics both C/O the Schisler Funeral Home.
