Becker, Judith
On the evening of January 13th, 2015, after a short illness, Judith Becker passed away peacefully in her home in Oshkosh with her caring staff by her side. Judy was 68 years old. Judy was born on March 3rd, 1946. Judy spent most of her adult life living in Oshkosh in an Adult Family Home with caring staff, peers and friends. Judy formed countless friendships and bonds with those around her, especially a very significant one with Sue Robl, her long time guardian, and Sue's family, who enjoyed Judy being a part of their lives for many years. Judy enjoyed bus trips, Special Olympics, singing in choir, bowling, swimming, dances, parties, holidays, coloring, collecting stickers, sewing and crafts, shopping at the mall, lunch at McDonald's, parades, and the zoo; especially the monkeys! During her adult life, Judy worked as a piece-worker at Lakeside Packaging Plus until her retirement. She enjoyed her experiences that she had at work with her co-workers and staff.
The service will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home at 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh Wisconsin, on Tuesday, January 27th 2015, starting with visitation at 10am. Father Marcus Cunningham will officiate the service at 11am. There will be a luncheon following the service. In lieu of flowers in Judy's name, a memorial donation suggestion is the Menomonee Park Zoo's Primate Habitat. Judy's resting time will be in the spring at the Peach Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh.
Thank you to staff, friends, co-workers, Dr. John Weber, and her hospice care team with Aurora Visiting Nurse Association for the love and care provided to Judy. Judy's laugh, smile and her silly faces will not be forgotten.

I worked in the group home that Judy lived in in early 2000. I had many laughs and good times with Judy. I do think of her often and how she's doing. She is now in heaven making God laugh. Thanks for the wonderful memories Judy.

When I was a young man I was a volunteer at a group home that Judy lived at. Judy was especially smiley, helpful and a lot of fun. Although it has been over forty years since I last saw Judy, I remembered her instantly from her name and picture. If you met Judy, she made an impression on you. I know I never forgot her. Rest in peace dear lady.

Judy was a member the of VSA Wisconsin Oshkosh choir for many years. Her very favorite song to sing was Kum Ba Yah. I will very much miss her coming to the piano after choir and requesting to sing the song with me. When we got to the part, "Someone's Praying, Lord, Kum By Yah," Judy would ALWAYS hold her hands up and together and in prayer. I will miss you, Judy.
