News Death Notice
CONNERS, Gladys M. Age 89, of Dayton, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born May 19, 1925 in Hellier, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Everett and Lizzie (Cavens) Ratliff. Gladys retired from General Motors and also owned Gladys' Beauty Shop in Belmont. She was also a member of Moraine City First Church of God, as well as an ordained minister and chaplain for Miami Valley Hospital. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ballard Connors; son, Ballard Connors, Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Rose and Connie Connors; grandson, Shawn Connors; as well as 8 siblings. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Garnett (Scott) Centers; three sons, Denzil (Sandra) Connors, Robert Connors, Gregory Connors; daughter-in-law, Annie Connors (Jerry); five grandsons, Jose Connors, Samuel (Rejeanna) Connors, Chad (Kim) Connors, Michael (Karina) Trebnik II, Nicholas (Wendy) Cooper; five granddaughters, Sharon (Reese) Ark, Sheila (Robert) Huffman, April (Josh) Branson, Ella Centers, Rebecca Spoonemore; five great-granddaughters, Ashley Ark, Constance Connors, Holly Huffman, Kimberlyn Connors, Kelcie Connors; five great-grandsons, Kaemon Connors, Nathaniel Connors, Ryan Huffman, Connor Ark, Cal Connors; great-great granddaughter, Alayna Hamm; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston of Miamisburg for their wonderful care and love for Gladys over the past year and a half. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 E. Second St. Franklin, OH. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Moraine City First Church of God, 5867 N Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449, with Pastor Russell Hays officiating.
