Salera, Dorothy T. (nee Gibbons), age 82, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. She was born in Detroit on July 8, 1932 and was a 1951 graduate of St. Benedict. Dorothy was a member of the Warren Historical Society and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Beloved wife of John Salera for 63 years. Dear mother of James (Toni) Salera, Cindy (Karl) Kern and John Salera. Sister-in-law of Ralph Salera, Gloria Salera and Phyllis Salera. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother of six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Ford Funeral Home, 26560 Van Dyke (S of 11 Mile Rd or the I-696 expressway), Center Line, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, May 27, 2015 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Dorothy was my cousin and even though we were not able to get together often she was always a big part of my life, I will miss her. Sending prayers and loving thoughts to John and the family.

My condolences go out to John,Karl, Cindy and rest of the family. I was John and Dorothy's neighbor for 8 years and could not ask for better neighbors. I regulary stop by to check in on them and visit. I had just stopped by about a week ago. Prayers go out to all of you...Dorothy was a wonderful person who was very caring of others. Take care
