Eric A. Steindl PALMYRA Eric Alan Steindl, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in his home surrounded by family. He died from a rare brain disease, Progressive Supranu- clear Palsy (PSP). Born May 4, 1952, in McKeesport, he was a son of Edward and Florence (Kazmierowski) Steindl. Having traveled throughout the United States and around the world managing the chemical standards and international marketing departments of Restek Corporation, Eric earned the love and respect of many people. His kind and fun nature will be remembered and missed by everyone who knew him. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Kay Y. (McCahan) Zimmerman; son, Greg, husband of Kelly Steindl; siblings, Carol, wife of Joe Gioia, Andy, husband of Teresa Steindl, and Don, husband of Bonna Steindl; grandson, David Steindl; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Steindl, and son, Erik Steindl. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra, preceded by a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Schencks Cemetery, Howard. All are welcome to attend both services and celebrate Eric's life.
