Matthew D. (Mick) Ivicic, Jr. Jaunary 29, 1937 July 4, 2015 Matthew D. (Mick) Ivicic, Jr., 78, of Bellefonte died July 4, 2015, at his residence. Born January 29, 1937, in Bellefonte he was the son of the late Matthew and Frances (Kucas) Ivicic. He was a graduate of Bellefonte High School in 1956. On May 7, 1960, at St. John's Catholic Church he married Janet Beardslee (Ivicic), who survives at home. Matthew served in the Army Reserves from 1956-1963. He was a pipefitter for Union Local 23, The International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, retiring in 1997 after 41 years of service. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Bellefonte, The Central PA Fireman's Association and a life member of the NRA, Bellefonte Elk's Lodge #1094 and the Undine Fire Company #2. Mick was an avid outdoorsman with a great passion for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed managing the habitat at his camp, working his apple trees and planting food plots for wildlife. He liked creating handcrafted wooden sculptures and glass etchings of wildlife. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by two sons, M. David (Gus) Ivicic, of Milesburg, and Christopher P. Ivicic and his wife, Michelle, along with their sons, Jeffrey and Justin Ivicic, of Houtzdale; one daughter, Wendy Jo Hartsock and her husband, Albert (Rob), and their son, M. Caleb Williamson, of Snydertown; one sister, Vilma Anspauch; two brothers, Stephen Ivicic and his wife, Mary (Mickey), and Charles Ivicic and his wife, Joyce; one brother-in-law, AllanThal, and one sister-in-law, Nancy Sherry, all from Bellefonte. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins including, Robert (Gil) Ivicic, Dave Kutches, Mike Ivic, Donna and Terry Neidigh, Connie Davis and Sandy Kowalski. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joseph Ivic, Anne Haranin, Helen Boscaino, Pauline Miller, Caroline Ivicic, Barbara Thal, and infant brother Robert. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Creamation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, with Father George Jakopac officiating. Burial will follow at Centre County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matthew's name may be made Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, Inc., 1317 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314; [email protected].
