Nancy Johnson Obituary

Nancy Ward Johnson, beloved wife of Mark Shipp Johnson, died peacefully at her home in Fredericksburg, Texas, on August, 31, 2015.
Nancy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 18, 1941, the daughter of Dorothy Strauss Watson and White Caldwell Watson. She grew up in Malvern, Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas and Indiana University where she majored in comparative literature. Nancy was also a graduate of the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) in Manhattan where she earned the Grand Diplome.
Nancy loved traveling, reading, movies, cooking, restaurants, New York City and the intricacies of the English language. She had a "big curious," a quick wit and was a loyal friend.
She is survived by her husband Mark of Fredericksburg; her son, Max Strauss Pranger (named for her beloved grandfather Maximillian Strauss aka "Bop") and granddaughters, Tyra Skye Pranger and Tove Liv Pranger of South Portland, Maine; her brother, Dan Watson of Mount Ida, Arkansas and her sister Linda Higgs of Malvern.
She will be greatly missed.
