Ed and Janet were good friends to my parents, and when my Dad died when I was 15, Ed was a good friend to me out on Lake Sherwood. I didn't realize then what he was doing, but he'd bring his boat down to our dock and ask if I wanted to go fishing. I spent a number of hours and days out on a boat with Ed in the first year or two after my Dad died. Sometimes we'd talk. Mostly we fished. He was there for me when I needed someone, even though I didn't realize I needed someone. It's been a while since I've seen him, but last time I talked to him I told him that I'd finally figured out what he was doing when he took me fishing all those times some 30 years ago now, and that I was even more grateful for it now that I'd finally figured it out. Thank you, Ed. God's blessings on his kids and Grandchildren.
