Heriberto "Herbie" "Eddie" Carrion
AGE: 54 • Vineland
Heriberto "Herbie" "Eddie" Carrion, 54, of Vineland, NJ, has passed away suddenly on February 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his wife, family and loved ones.
Herbie was born on September 20, 1961 in Manhattan, NY. He spent his life in Vineland and Millville and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Joseph Hewes FF 1078. He attended and graduated from Cumberland County College receiving an Associates Degree in Science Social Services. He also graduated from Stockton State College, a Phi Theta Kappa alumni, receiving his Bachelors in Social Science, fully enjoying his career as Director of Activities at the Vineland Senior Care and the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home. Herbie is also the co-founder of the "Celebrating the Veterans" program.
Herbie enjoyed spending time with family, was a big fan of the Raiders and science fiction. He loved to make people happy and did what he could to make you smile.
Herbie is survived by his wife, Inegdalia "Darlene" Carrion of 32 years; grandmother, Luz Maria; his parents, Eugenio and Aurea; his brother, Alexander; his daughters, Nilda, Betsy and Tasha; his sons, Heriberto Jr. and Luis and his 9 grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 7:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Friday evening from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Donations can be made at Gofundme.com by searching for campaign "In loving memory Heriberto Carrion". Deseo expresarles mi mas sentido pésame a la familia Carrion por la pérdida de su ser querido, Heriberto y además compartir con ustedes el consuelo y esperanza que nos da nuestro Creador, Jehová Dios, en su palabra. En Isaias 25:8 nos promete que "El se tragara a la muerte para siempre y Jehová ciertamente limpiará las lágrimas de todo rostro". Que maravillosa promesa cuando llegue el día en que este gran enemigo desaparezca y podamos convivir con nuestras familias por toda una eternidad.
