My deepest condolences to his family. Jerry was a very knowledgeable guy and I enjoyed discussing with him all the latest Jersey City political issues. Wish I could attend his service tomorrow. Hope he didn't suffer during the last few years.

Jerry was an amazing man, whose knowledge of history, politics and elections was vast. I knew him from the days when he was associated with Tony Cucci, and saw first hand how his knowledge was put to practical use, especially during elections. He and Tony taught me that politics could be an honorable and decent profession, and that integrity could co-exist with effective political action. I would attend his memorial if I could, but my deepest condolences go out to his family and many, many friends.
