Paula C. Hunt, 74 of Auburn passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home. She was born on December 1, 1942 at Taylorville the daughter of Charles E. and Beulah F. (Brown) Richards. Paula married Clarence R. Hunt on October 8, 1960 at Dresden, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Betty Richards and Geraldine Durbin.Paula was an administrative assistant to the Superintendent of the Auburn School District, retiring in 2005 after many years of service. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.She is survived by: Her husband, Clarence R. Hunt of Auburn, IL; Daughter, Tara (Tim) Kaeding of Mechanicsburg, IL; Sons, Ty (Jan) Hunt of Athens, IL, Guy (Laura) Hunt of Petersburg, IL and Hy (Karen) Hunt of Auburn, IL; Grandchildren, Ty (Shelby) Hunt, Ky (Katie) Hunt, Bo (Amanda) Hunt, Kara Hunt, Taylor Hunt, Brady Hunt and Amara Kaeding; Several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
