SURPRISE, Ariz. - Clayton A. Guyette, 88, passed away February 26, 2017 in Surprise, Ariz.
He was born in Keene, N.H., on September 8, 1928.
He proudly served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific during WWII. Clay flew on B29 Super Fortress bombers, and later on B17 ""Flying Fortresses"" troop transport.
After military service, he enjoyed a long and satisfying career in commercial and residential construction for many years prior to retirement.
Clay will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 39 years, Therese (LeMarier) Guyette of Surprise, Ariz. Family also includes one son, Michael Guyette of Manchester, N.H.; four daughters, the late Kathy Masse Carlin of West Virginia, Susan Masolowski of Marlow, N.H., Tami Frazier of Marlow, N.H., Heidi Gagnon of Manchester, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother and three sisters; nieces and nephews.
Clay was a superb cook and baker. He loved cooking for his family and friends, especially at Thanksgiving.
He participated in numerous missionary trips to Haiti in the 1980s.

SERVICES: A private family service will be held in Marlow, N.H., on the family's ""North Forty"" in the Monadnock Mountain area, the mountains Clay passionately loved and where he hunted with his father and brother.
One of Clay's favorite sayings was, ""Look up the SON is always there."" His strength, courage, and kindness inspired us all.
His family sends him off with all the love he gave to them over the years and more. ... Go with God, till we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
