Jeffrey Joseph Swencki
RACINE- Jeffrey Joseph Swencki, age 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2017. On June 24, 1951, Jeffrey was born to Chester and Helen (nee Sabo) Swencki in Racine, WI. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. Jeffery taught grades 6-8 at St. Catherine’s School in Racine. Jeffrey was passionate about teaching. He especially loved teaching English and Theology classes. In his spare time, Jeffrey loved to read and was fond of science fiction novels. He loved watching old westerns. Jeffrey was noted for his great memory of Bible verses. Jeffrey is survived by a brother and a sister. He is also survived by his “family” at Open Arms. A time of visitation for Jeffery will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Avenue, Racine, WI). A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Following the service, Jeffrey’s final resting place will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove where he will receive full military honors at 10:00 a.m. Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave. Racine, WI 53405
