It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Iris Evelyn Crocker, "Mickey" on Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at Pinewood Court, at the age of 94.

She was born on September 14th, 1923 in South Neebing (Ellard Homestead) to Margaret and Archibald Simpson and had 6 siblings, 3 sister and 3 brothers. She also played the organ for the Ortona Legion, Moose Lodge and for the Elks Klown Band. Most will remember her as "Mick at the Vic" at the Victoria Hotel where is she played the organ for 8 years. She was a very talented Entertainer who always had you singing and dancing, and crying so hard from laughing at her very descriptive and very comical jokes. She truly was the "The life of the Party". In her later years, her greatest passion for the love for her kids and grandkids, singing and playing the piano for them right up to the past year. Special thanks to the Staff at Pinewood Court for their care and compassion that they gave to our mom through the years, and Kelly and Bob would like to thank Dennis Haggerty for being their rock and for keeping the waters calm. We love you all. "God Bless".

Cremation has taken place and the service will be held on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery at 1:00pm. Please drive to main office. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elk's re: Children's Trust Fund would be greatly appreciated, as they had showed our family so much care and compassion when Timothy and Veronica were sent to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. She never forgot your kindness.

In loving memory of an aunt and grand-aunt Iris "Mickey" Crocker.

Don't remember me with sadness,
Don't remember me with tears.
Remember all the laughter
We've shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing that I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don't be unhappy
Just because I'm out of sight;
Remember that I'm with you
Each morning, noon and night.

Rest in peace Mickey.
