Rita Wachter
Rita M. Wachter, 81, departed this life on August 10, 2017.
She remained vibrant throughout and always enjoyed new pursuits. She retired from St. Elizabeth's Hospital after 35 years and then worked at Dr. Michael Guignon's office for several years. She maintained an active social life with her family and former co-workers, and was also a member of the Women of the Moose.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth McDaniel, her former spouse, Ferdinand Wachter, mother, Kathleen Chadeayne and father, Earl Choate.
Rita leaves cherished memories to her two daughters, Jamie Whittaker of O'Fallon, IL, and Kathy (Ned) Radich of Fresno, CA. As well as one brother, Curt Choate of Belleville, IL and four sisters, Helen Blanchard of O'Fallon, IL, Loretta Palmer of Tacoma, Wash., Carmen Chadeayne of Fairview Heights, IL and Toni Salanki of Belleville, IL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rita will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Services: Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 from 2-5pm at The Weingarten, 1780 E. State Route 15, Belleville, IL 62221.

Comfort for all family and friends are prayed for Rita's many.
Rita was one intelligent woman with a heart of gold if you really knew her. She ran a busy shift as secretary during evening shift---she could HOLD DOWN THE FORT! Dependable hard worker who might have saved some lives by knowing whom to call first and quickly!
I will always LOVE Rita even as she rests on the other side!
