Mr. Saylor, you will never know the impact you've had on my life. As a lonely child, raised by her grandmother, you were more than just a teacher, you were my friend. You stopped a lot of the bullying that was happening, you also made me teachers pet. I have so many fond memories. My heart aches learning this today, that you are no longer here. Rest in peace.

Ken will be greatly missed. He was larger than life, both physically and in the stories he told. Thick or thin, Ken was there for me. He always looked on the bright side of some of the most dire situations, and I knew I could depend on both Ken and Louise should the need arise. It was a great pleasure to be his friend and to work together teaching students at Alta Vista School. It was a job that Ken loved greatly and devoted much of his time, energy, and resources for the benefit of the Alta Vista community. It is with great sorrow and tears that I say goodbye to such a wonderful friend.
With my deepest love and prayers to Louise and the Saylor family,
Joe Cook

Mrs.Saylor ,Kenny and family, My Prayers and Heart are with you.I am Blessed to have been in Mr.Saylor's "The Cool Class"in 8th grade.Mr.Saylor was a caring, kind and very patient educator. He treated everyone equally, and when he was on yard duty he always made time to listen to any questions and concerns we might have. He treated everyone equally and made a positive influence on my life. He helped get through the at times goofy pre-teen years. He helped us get through the preambleto graduate and prepare us for High School and future. He made a positive influence in my life. I Pray that there are still some educators that truly care about their students as he did. I cannot remember a time when he wasn't wearing his caring smile. He made it possible for our class to go on the first far away field trip to Magic Mountain for bi-centennial year. He was a teacher I highly respected. I would run into Mr. and Mrs.Saylor from time to time around town and they still made the time to chat and catch up, still wearing a smile.I am very grateful to have had him as my teacher. Pam and I learned last night of his passing in the lodge meeting, our hearts sank, yes we know he is with our Creator and from all of Ken's give backs to mankind holds a very special place with God, earned and a job well done! yet it hurts for all.
We will see you Monday, Mrs. Louise Saylor
