Walter Clayton Gross, Jr. 69, of Corinth, Texas passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born on November 6, 1948 to Walter and Elizabeth (Gordy) Gross in Seattle, Washington. Walter married the love of his life Rachel L. Prater on May 4, 1973 in California.


Walter was a family man who served in the Vietnam War and retired after 21 years of service in the Air Force.  He loved to play the guitar and he played in several gospel groups.  He was an ordained Elder and he loves the Lord Jesus Christ.  Also, he was a pioneer in the Telecommunications Industry and retired from working at Sprint.  


He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rachel Gross, daughter, Tiffany Dixon, son, Walter Gross III, three grandchildren - PJ, Ashley, and Trinity and sister, Germaine Davis.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Gross Sr. and Elizabeth (Gordy) Gross, sister, Gelaine Boss, brother, Austin Gross and a host of other relatives.


A Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with full Air Force Honors.
