TACOMA WA. - Richard Joseph Boisvert, 72, originally of Woonsocket RI, passed away on the 15th of February, 2018, in Tacoma Washington. He was the husband of Joan (Williams) Boisvert.
Richard was the third of eight children born to the late Alphonse and Florence (Houle) Boisvert. After graduating from Mount Saint Charles Academy in 1966, he joined the US Marine Corps and served on the front lines in the Vietnam War.
He had a strong work ethic and lent his efforts to several local businesses, including Dennison Manufacturing and the Miller Electric Company, where he first met his wife. But he is perhaps best known as owner and operator of Grape Farm Dairy, where for close to two decades he delivered milk and cream to restaurants and establishments over Southern New England.
He is survived by his wife Joan, his stepson Thomas Williams of Bellingham MA, and his siblings: Charles Boisvert of Woonsocket, George Boisvert of Glocester, Roland Boisvert of Woonsocket, Lucille Dalton of Cumberland, Muriel Mis and Pauline Beaudreault of North Providence, and Ronald Boisvert of Ohio. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Richard's gentle spirit and contagious laughter will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him on both sides of the continent.
