Jay W. Chabrow
1930-2018
Jay W. Chabrow, 88, passed away peacefully at home in Boise Idaho, on September 29, 2018. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jay was a multitalented aerospace manager at TRW and several other technology companies. He then transitioned to consulting for NASA, the NSA, as well as the CIA. This led him to many travels throughout the world. While serving as a consultant to NASA, he headed a seven man panel reviewing the cost and schedule for the International Space Station for Congress. He was greatly admired by representatives of government agencies that employed him for his exceptional skills as well as his ability to be a supportive mentor to his employees. Jay was an extraordinary man with a quick wit, sense of humor, and charisma that put most people at ease while maintaining a "larger than life" persona. Over the course of his career, he met many colleagues and developed many close, lasting friendships. His love of life was unprecedented! Jay's search for knowledge was endless. He was also avid about football, golf and horology (watch collecting). He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine. Daughter, Suni Chabrow. Grandchildren, Krissy, Paige, Jayson and Shayna as well as twin great granddaughters, Ryan and Reese. A private cremation ceremony is being held this week. Please join us in continuing the celebration of Jay's life, with your memories. In lieu of flowers a contribution in his memory, to the American Heart Association, 350 N 9th St # 404, Boise, ID 83702, would be appreciated.
