Dawn Burgess Obituary
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Steve Newton and Brad Morgan officiating.
Mrs. Burgess died March 26, 2007, in Nacogdoches.
She was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Zwolle, La., to the late Jacob "Jake" and Dovie Pearl Deason Tipps. She taught biology in Nacogdoches for 33 years and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include son, Dan Aubrey Burgess, Austin; daughters, Carol Sue Atkins and Lynn Clark, both of Nacogdoches; sisters, Evelyn Fitzgerald, Tyler, and Dana Poovey, Henderson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
If desired, memorials may be made to Nacogdoches High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 2152, Nacogdoches, 75963.
