Jeanette Balentine Bennett, the daughter of William and Margie White, age 72, of Savannah, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009.
Jeanette's visitation will be from 6-9 Wednesday evening, Jan. 14, 2009, at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Murphy's Chapel, with Paul Holloway officiating. She will lie in state from noon-2 p.m. Burial will follow at Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.
Ms. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margie White.
Ms. Bennett was a loving mother, grandmother and will be well missed. She was loved by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Stricklin, Sheila Clark, Tammie Morris and Terri Chapa; sons, Jackie, Jerry and Ronnie Balentine; sister, Reba Pownders. She had nine brothers and sisters, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Stricklin, Chris Stricklin, Pedro Chapa, Kevin Chapa, Steve Balentine and Eric Balentine.
