Kuffert - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing Leo Kuffert, late of North Battleford on September 13, 2010 at the age of 77 years. Leo was born on October 1, 1932 at Rabbit Lake Saskatchewan. Left behind to cherish Leo's memory is his wife Darlene (nee Helfrich); one son Leonard (Roisin Cossar); grandchildren Anna and Eamon Kuffert of Winnipeg, MB; brothers: Paul (Shirley) of Meadow Lake, SK, Alex (Honora) of Burlington, ON, and William (Judy) of Chitek Lake, SK; sisters in law: Irene Kuffert, Saskatoon, SK, and Evelyn Fuller, Saskaoon, SK; special cousins Ben (Sharon) Hauser of Prince Albert, SK and Jim (Fran) Nelson of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents William (1992) and Lydia (1995); brothers Harry (1997) and Alfred (1971); his first wife Alice and infant son Robert.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from the Zion Lutheran Church, North Battleford with Reverend Sheldon Gattinger officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Leo Kuffert may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kristeen Nylander of Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford, SK.

Leo was a loving supportive Uncle/Great-Uncle. His smile and love of life was infectious which is a rare quality these days.
