Mrs. May Bell Barbre, age 87 of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Barbre was born September 20, 1923 in Juliette, daughter of the late Inman Green Harper and the late Estelle Norsworthy Harper. She was a member of the Fredonia Congregational Methodist Church. Her husband, Tom H. Barbre, Sr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jo Piersall of Barnesville; grandchildren, Kay & Bobby Landers, Victoria & Keith Shelton, Vickie Reams, Lynn & David Atkinson, Candy Hurley, Donald Ray Piersall, Robert Piersall and Jeff Piersall; 14 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Harris and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. May Bell Barbre will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Stan Ayers will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family 2 hours prior to the service time.
