I just learned of your passing. I have many memories of you from grade school (M.G.C.). It was an honor that you were able to marry Bob and myself. You have been deeply committed to your faith and have served as a good example. I know you are dancing in heaven now. Say hi to my folks. Julie Keidl-Smith M.G.C. Class of '74 (Lakewood Ranch, FL)

Fr. Bruce -- we have been friends for so long and have kept in contact. We had a great year together at St. Mary's High School in Stockton. 1968-70. Our dinners together, laughs, meant alot to me. God bless you.

Father Bruce was the principal of Mother of Good Counsel for the two years that I went there. He was a tough but fair man. He would always help one explore their gifts but gave proper discipline, trying to guide young minds in the right direction. He knew the name of every student, and even mine some 20 years later when last I saw him. At graduation from Grade school, he told us that we were no longer children, but adults and had to act as such. Each of us was given a plaque by him. It has the poem, “Don’t Quit” on it and hangs in my house yet today. I’ve read that poem many times when that was my thought and thank him for continual inspiration. I pray he finds his rewards for leading the life of goodness.
