Charles Strohmeyer Obituary
RUSHVILLE: Charles Robert Strohmeyer III, 21, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Charles was born on June 26, 1990 to Charles Strohmeyer II and Penny Elaine Brickey. He graduated from Fairfield Union in 2009 and was attending Ohio University Lancaster Branch where he was on the Dean's list and was employed by Doug Adams Landscaping.
He is survived by his father, Charles R. (Geraldine) Strohmeyer II of Lancaster; mother, Penny Elaine Brickey of West Layfette, OH; twin brother, Michael David Strohmeyer of Rushville; brother, Mathew Brickey of West Layfette; sister, Audrey Caroline Strohmeyer of Lancaster; grandparents, David and Esther Strohmeyer of Rushville, Mike and Debbie Brickey of West Layfette; and a special cousin, Kristina (Stephen) Reynard; uncles, Keith Strohmeyer of Rushville and Karl (Joyce) Strohmeyer of Brewster, NY.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 at St Mary's Church with Father Craig Eilerman officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bremen.

So very sorry to hear about Charles. I have fond memories of carpooling him and my daughters to school a few years ago. I remember that he was very polite and respectful. The entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Charles, you was the son that I didn't have. I'll always cherish all of the good times & moments we had together. There's not enough words to describe what you mean, & have meant to me. Penny, I have known you since kindergarten. We have grown up together and had went through all the times of life together. Even having kids. I remember our kids swinging on the swings together, playing cars, and riding bikes together. It is so hard to deal with the thought of Charles gone now. Penny, I am so sorry about Charles. I can really relate. Thor Kirk played with him so many times. Losing a child must be the most devastating thing a person must ever have to go through. I have always loved you and the fun times we had together. I remember him as a child playing with Thor Kirk and Michael. I just can't believe this happened. I pray for you so much.
