Catherine Carrano, 74, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge, NJ. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Catherine moved to Old Bridge 21 years ago. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her family.
Catherine is survived by her husband, James W. Carrano Sr.; her son, James W. Carrano Jr., her daughter and son in law, Caroline & Bill Siegel, and her daughter and son in law, Lisa & Ward Gribben; her grandchildren: Brian, Lauren, James III, Christiana, Brandon, Caitlyn, & Amanda; her two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 4-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ, with a prayer service Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Inurnment will take place at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ, on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 3pm.

Catherine, you were the only grandmother that my daughter knew. Thank you for loving her just as much as your others. We miss you and will cherish our memories of you. Rest in peace. With love, Nerina & Ginger.
