Margie Claudine Homburg, age 90, of Cary, formerly of Ocean City, MD, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro, NC.
Margie was born in Miami, TX and grew up in Clovis, NM, where she was a graduate of Clovis High School. She was an accomplished artist and world traveler. She enjoyed expressing herself through dance and enjoyed teaching others. Margie had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew her. She never complained no matter how difficult her journey.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Albert Homburg, retired Special Forces; sons, Chris Sullins; and Phillip Sullins.
She is survived by her son, Steven Sullins and his wife, Catalina Andrade of Cary; and grandchildren, Nivi Sullins; and Michael Mason.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710.
