NEW BERN - Esther L. Isaac, 72, of New Bern, died February 22, 2013, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She was an artist, and she loved to travel.
She is survived by her daughters, Monica L. DeHaven and husband Paul of Indiana Co., Pa. and Rebecca C. Scungio of New Bern; her mother, Eula M. Stevenson; one brother, John Stevenson Jr.; four sisters, Grace Williams, Eleanor Stevenson, Wilhelmina McGaffic, Barbara Birney; and two grandchildren, Alfred Edward Scungio and Robin A. DeHaven.
A memorial service will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Bishop House Apartments Community Room, 611 Middle Street, New Bern, NC 28560.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

Rebecca, I am so sorry I can't be at the Memorial tonight, but I have a cold or flu and I dare not expose you and your family. My prayers have been with you and your family, your Mom was a sweet, loving lady and she will be missed by all.
