Henry Tribou Ross, 69, of Floral, Ark., formerly of Maine, died Feb. 27, 2014.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1945, in Rumford, Maine, the son of Henry Francis Ross and Gladys Tribou Ross.
He was in the Navy for 28 years, serving during Vietnam and the Persian Gulf campaigns. He was also a K-9 officer for the Independence County Sheriff's Department in Batesville, Ark., for five years in the early 1980s.
Survivors include his daughters, Charlotte Ross Lee and Chrisanna Ross Cummings, both of Jay, Maine, and Brandy Ross Jones, of Cave City, Ark.; adopted son, T.C. Hutchinson, of Desha, Ark.; brothers Thomas Ross, of Starks, Maine, and John Gordon Ross, of Rumford; sisters Retha Ross Sinclair, of Merrimack, N.H., and Alicia Ross Yahn, of Auburn, Maine; grandchildren Jenika Kelley and Jonathan Butman, Dawn and Adam Lee, Cashlin and Dillen Bronish, all of Jay, Jessica and Savannah Roberson, of Bradford, Ark., Frankie, Ross and Mary Jones, of Cave City, and Julye and Rowan Hutchinson, of Desha; and great-grandchildren Viven Lee and Treelyn Bronish, both of Jay.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grammer Ross; parents; and brother Richard L. Ross.
A memorial service will be held in his home state of Maine at a later date.
Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
