Kolic Jr., Michael J. 75, of Valparaiso passed away, Sunday, March 23, 2014. He was born August 24, 1938 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Michael John and Anna (Mollick) Kolic, Sr. He was US Navy Veteran and a retired machinist for US Steel. Michael was a member of the American Legion Post #502 in South Haven and a Life member of the Chesterton Moose Lodge #1623. Surviving is his grandson, Richard Kolic of South Haven; goddaughter, Heather Calvin; brother, William (Cheryl) Kolic of North Judson; and sisters, Alice Taylor of Crown Point, Maryann Slont of Arizona, Fran (Karl) Nallenweg of Chesterton, Rosalie (William) Cawley of Arizona, Barbara Cunningham of Chesterton, Julie Decker of Dixon, CA and Patricia (Kenneth) Heying; sister-in-law, Susan Howe; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His wife, Darlene Howe Kolic; his son, Paul Michael; and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso, Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Burial will be Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home. www.bartholomewnewhard.com
