Dear Granddad: I miss u dearly. My heart will never be the same without you. You were my rock and example of what a man should be. I almost called you today to ask you how to check my CV joint. And then I bawled my eyes out. I know it's true that you are gone for now...but I try to deny it as best as I can. You are in my thoughts all the time. I want to go fishing and I think "I'm going to call my granddad and catch some real fish!" And then reality kicks in. I love and miss you my dear Granddad! You are forever a part of me. I can't wait to see you again: young and perfect and happy. Love Heidi. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Dad, There is not a day or even a minute that goes by that I do not think of you. I wish you were here. Your family is lost without you. You kept us in check. You kept us together. Every time I see something beautiful, like a sunset, majestic clouds billowing throughout the sky, rain drops on my face, the sweet smell of the spring breeze, and your favorite Oak trees standing strong I think of you. I miss laughing with you and your love Dad. I love you...

You will be very much missed Grandpa. We all have such great memories of you, my favorite was when Great grandma lived next door to you and when she finished making her brownies you and I snuck though her back door and ate half the batch. Everyone that was blessed to know grandpa was fortunate to have such a wonderful man in their lives. I love you Grandpa

Dewey was one of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege to know. He is the true definition of a man! The conversations that him and I have had over coffee in the morning while everyone else was still asleep will forever be with me. I loved him like he was my own father. I have heard many stories about the ranch, yachts and life in general. Some were serious but seemed like we always laughed more than anything! And man did he have a great and contagious laugh! He was an amazing man and there truly are no words to describe how incredible he was. You are missed and loved Dewey!!!!

When I speak for myself Dad. I speak for all your children. You are greatly, Greatly loved. And you will be Truly & greatly missed. We love you so much and respect what you have taught us in life. Thank you Dad for all that you have given each one of us. When we think of you we think of Love,Happiness,Strength. And how to ride a horse, buck bails, hunt, fish. You taught us the value of work. I will always cherish the memories you "initiated" for your family. The cattle drives, bitter root mountain pack train via horse, trips every year. The beautiful holidays you and Mom made sure were magical for us kids. You even went so far as to go up on the hill at midnight with sleigh bells to excite our even more anticipation in Santa's coming! What an amazing Man you are Dad. I say this with all respect and true love when I say it is an "Honor" that you are our Dad. Much Great Love.

I was so devastated when I got this news...I always loved Dewey Lee for his "Chit Vim and Vinegar" We had a crazy relationship, running into each other in the oddest places....Just last week in Costco we bumped into each other again...I was in La La Land and almost passed them by, when it hit me and I turned around and said "we just have to quit meeting like this" They were so excited to be heading back to Alaska and invited me to go along....that just made my heart sing with the possibility....but uncertain about my own health issues of doing it...but it was wonderful dream, to be able to spend time with him and Lynette...Dewey lived and loved life to the fullest and was so full of "Chit Vim and Vinegar" and a Cousin through my Step Fathers side...but the word step was never a part of our life...I will never forget the Coast Guard Cutter boat (65 ft) they bought in the early 90's and Dewey and Lynette refurbished it to an absolute beautiful Yacht and the trip we made around Pennock on it, watching his son Helicopter Log...You will never be forgotten Captain Dewey Lee" and to Lynette and your children I am so saddened for you....You and Dewey were ALWAYS together and I always admired your relationship ? ? ? ? ?

My heart is saddened by the loss of my Grandfather. The fond memories of my childhood summers on the ranch by his side give me peace and comfort. He was always so strong, I never thought that he would ever say goodbye.

I love my granddaddy with all my heart. I can't believe he is gone so fast. Granddad, you were my roll model and most importantly even though you were my grandfather, you brought me up like a daughter. My heart will never be the same. I love you with all my heart. You were my protector and my dad my entire life. I LOVE YOU granddad!
