As I sit here and ponder what to write I am filled with so many happy memories. Lara was my best fried growing up and her family was my "second family." I cannot express how much it meant to me to be included in the family outings, trips and just normal day to day things. I probably spent as much time at the Lee's as I did at my own home. I truly felt as if I was another member of the family. The Lees were my other parents. My Mom and Dad were divorced, so I looked to them as the perfect example of a loving couple and parents. And to be included so much was a wonderful experience. I cherish my memories growing up with Lara and her family. The world lost a very special person. I will miss you...

My heart breaks for your loss! My life crossed Larry's life a long time ago during our childhood days growing up on Iowa farms. He was the great looking cousin who so many girls had a crush on. But I was a mere lifetime away from him, being five years younger. My life with him and our other cousins, I found him to be a warm & wonderful "older" teen with a tenderness & caring for his family. The last time we talked, he invited us to Atlanta, but alas, life has a way of moving us all along & I was never able to meet him there. My heart is so sad for you, Sandy and the girls. He was so blessed to have so many wonderful women in his life...his mother, his sisters, his wife and of course his daughters. And, of course, there was the love from his father and brothers. All of your being there for him can only be seen as his greatest loves and that love lasted 72 years of his loving all of you! That love is tribute alone to his memory! Love and prayers for healing to all of you & grace for his new peace!
