Ogden: Friday, April 4, 2014 at age 77. Born in Philadelphia, PA. Predeceased by his daughter, Gretchen at 4 weeks of age; son, Anthony at 17 years of age; brothers and sisters, Robert, Charles, Richard, Ann, Lillian, Geneva and Blanche. Survived by his loving wife Joan (Robertson) McGuire; sons, Noel and Tim McGuire; daughter, Jennifer McGuire Kegler; daughters-in-law, Karen Condello and Diane Brady; son-in-law, Mark Kegler; grandchildren, Jasmine, Jordan, Justin, Leah, Lani, Jada, Skyler and D'Shon; sisters, Frances Green and Judith Blocker; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Samuel was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Xerox Corp. He was a wonderful, caring husband, father, known as a "Favorite Uncle" and great friend to many.
Samuel's visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 1-4PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11AM at Holy Apostles Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Sam will be greatly missed by Vivian and me. Sam and Joan were the first to welcome us to St. Bridgets Church many years ago. He always had a smile and a hand shake when He met us at church where he was a very active member.

I'm not able to attend the visitation or funeral. I have many happy memories of Sam and Joan from St. Bridget's. Family is in my prayers. Norma Rappl
