Robert C. Whitman LEBANON Robert C. Whitman, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. He was the husband of the late Sylvia (Dullabawn) Whitman. Born in Lebanon on October 14, 1939, Robert was a son of the late Charles R. and Mildred Whitman. He worked as a trailer jockey for Budd Company and a warp hanger for Keystone Weaving Mill. Robert enjoyed flea markets, woodworking, fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He is survived by three sons, Robert H. Whitman of Orlando, Fla., Charles Whitman, husband of Linda, of Jonestown; and George Whitman, husband of Tina, of Lebanon; two brothers, James Whitman of Lebanon and Edward Whitman of Lebanon; one sister, Darlene Weise of Bethel; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
