Matthew Anthony Legg Jr., 5, of Independence, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Twin County Regional Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Patricia Legg.
Survivors include parents, Matthew Legg Sr. and Kristie Legg of the home; sister, Madolyn Legg of the home; maternal grandparents, Dave and Patty Conner; aunts, Rebecca Conner, Stephanie Conner, Debbie Cencer, Barbara Ging and Lynn Legg; uncles, David Conner, Mark Legg, Matt Ging and Larry Cencer; and many loving family members and friends.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Twin County Funerals Sanctuary beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Craig Embree will officiate. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Twin County Funerals, Galax, is serving the Legg family.
