April 14, 2014 - Edmonton, AB
It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Rhoda Ristock announces her peaceful passing on April 14, 2014. Rhoda fought a courageous battle with leukemia (AML) and was taken from us at the age of 84 years.
Rhoda is survived by three sons; Jason, Brent (Sherri) and Bill Jr. (Laurie); daughter Melanie May; grandchildren; Colin, Pamela (Myles), Michael May, Dylan (Doneal) Ristock, Diamond (Will), Carley Ristock and great-grandchild Nathan Hancock. She is also survived by nieces; Cheryl Dawson, Judy Notschaele (Marcel); nephews; Don Gary (Kathleen), Bob Crawford (Sharon) and Douglas Loftus. Rhoda leaves behind many family, friends and students. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, William (Bill) Ristock, her parents James and Belle Corrigal, sister June Dawson.
Rhoda was a retired school teacher of 46 years and an active volunteer with the IOF Foresters for many years. She had an adventurous spirit. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, golfing, traveling, dancing, live theatre, music, and camping, but most of all her "pride and joy" was her family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Howard & McBride Westlawn Funeral Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Rd., Edmonton, AB. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

My husband and I both had the good fortune of teaching with Rhoda. She was always so kind and gentle. Rhoda was a great hostess who would open her home for staff parties. Our thoughts are with you.
