Smith, Betty Jean, age 86, passed away on April 19, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born on February 26, 1928 in Enid, OK to the late C.T. and Ada Venable, and was raised in both Oklahoma and Arkansas. She graduated in 1947 from Enid High school and considered her continued education a "doctorate of life." It was in Oklahoma where she met her future husband Clinton Smith and they would spend 64 years creating a beautiful life together. Clint and Betty married in 1950 and they were blessed with two sons Michael and Gary. As "CEO" of the Smith Household, Betty watched over her family while still pursuing her interests in knitting, sewing, cooking, bible study and traveling. Her favorite vacations were traveling in a motorhome throughout the U.S. and Canada. Betty is survived by her loving husband Clinton, her sons Michael (Maurene) and Gary (Michelle); her five grandchildren, Logan, Chris, Greg, Kathleen and Jonathan; her sister Barbara, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Betty were held in Arizona.
