Dorothy Glasper Washington, 76, entered eternal rest with her Lord on Friday April 18, 2014. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for over 60 years. Dorothy was born April 14, 1938 in Wilkinson, Mississippi to the late Mae Martha Toliver and George Glasper. Her Daughter, Deidre Washington, preceded her in Death. Dorothy leaves to survive her four children Stephen (Lawanda) Washington, of Houston, TX. Dewanda Washington, of New Orleans, La., Susie (Robert) Ramson, of Houma, La and Shawn (Tomika) Washington of Gretna, La. Dorothy's eldest sister Emma and (brother-in-law John) Deamer of Baton Rouge, La. preceded her in death. She also leaves to survive her two siblings Marie (the late Joseph) Clementine of Bronx, NY and James (Rose) Toliver, of San Antonio, TX. Dorothy also leaves behind two great grandchildren and thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Dorothy's Homegoing service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday April 25, 2014, at True Vine Apostolic Church 713 S. Jamie Blvd. Avondale, LA 70094 visitations will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Roy Bingham will be officiating service. Interment: Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
