I am very sorry to hear about Marvin Huizingh's passing, but thankful he has gone to be with God. I have great memories of growing up next door to your family on Baldwin street in Grand Rapids. I pray now that God will hold you all close while you walk this path. Our family has walked this path as well. Many blessings to the entire Huizingh family.

Uncle Marv was so full-of-life it is hard to imagine him gone. He was incredibly kind, energetic, and to me he seemed fearless, always up on stilts or water-skiing on a ladder or wind-surfing (he was always willing to help someone else try it, as well, even though few people were as coordinated and athletic as he was)! I have so many happy memories of visiting the house on Griswold, huge family dinners in that kitchen, the toy drawer, and visits to Big Star. I'm thinking of the entire extended Huizingh family and friend network, grieving with you and praying for comfort for you.

Marv was an incredibly godly, humble, joyful, faithful, and other-centered Christian leader and example. I am blessed to have served with him and look forward to seeing his bright smile again at Jesus' return.

Marv was a man who was always your friend. He would take the time to talk to you no matter where you met him. He has left a great legacy in the name of Jesus Christ his Savior.

Marvin was a neighbor in Cross Creek. He lived on the other end of the building. Always friendly...always had time to chat. His Christian faith was so evident. We hope his passing into eternal life was a peaceful one. Our prayers for those he left behind.
