Treasured son of the late Dorothy (Stanton) and James Fitzgerald. Late U.S. Navy Veteran. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Nativity Church 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor, Thursday, July 3, at 10 o'clock. David was as good a man as I've ever known.We were friends for forty years.It went by in a moment.He had a fine wit. A generous heart loved his wife with every fiber of his being and was an excellent friend.I never once saw him be mean to anyone.He had a passion for learning Nd sharing What he knew.We Were each and all blessed with his friendship. Presence. And humor.God himself would enjoy his fine qualitiesGod bless You Davey. May He keep you ever close to him.Mike. T

What a superb human being you have been Davey . You were a great friend for the last forty plus years. Davey, you were always honest, careful with others feelings, had a great wit, and a good heart.
