Claude Cobb Obituary

Feb 23, 1929-July 3, 2014 Claude S. Cobb, Sr. 85 went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca D. Cobb. Mr. Cobb served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon returning state side, Claude trained as a civil engineer working for Chicago Bridge and Iron and retiring with 37 years of service. He was an active member of Huffman Assembly of God which later became The Cathedral of the Cross. Claude enjoyed working in his shop with both wood or with metal projects. He was very passionate about studying the Word of God and witnessing to those around him. He is survived by his wife, Doris Cobb, two sons; Claude S. Cobb, Jr., Randall (Sharon) Cobb, two step-daughters; Elizabeth Barnett, Tricia (Tom) Jackson, one brother, Bill Cobb, one grandchild, Carey Smith, nine step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Smith. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to the service time.
